After 25 years in business Melaleuca just celebrated it's first $1BILLION in annual sales! 

I've just gone through a ton of posts on "Is Melaleuca a Scam?"

Allow me to rant for a minute if you will. It never ceases to amaze me how some people can be so terrified of actually going after their dreams that they will bash something that could release them from the shackles of a full time job before they've even tried it.

If you're a blog creator looking to monetize your blog you need to learn how to drive long-term traffic to your site and generate leads.

Work out WHO your audience is and target them with laser-focused information.

To help you with this go to Google’s FREE Keyword Tool.

Enter keywords that are related to your subject matter. You are looking for keywords that are very popular.

You will need one MAIN keyword or phrase that is the focus of your blog, and a few related keywords or phrases that you can use throughout your blog.

The reason you do this is two-fold

1 )    You want to make sure you are providing information on a topic readers are interested in, and

2 )   You want the Search Engines to find you. The more relevant keywords you enter the more attention you’ll get from the Search Engines. Search engines love it when you deliver value to your readers. So keep it on point. Do your Keyword Research.

5 ) Valuable Content

As a newbie blog creator you MUST understand what your readers want and give it to them. If you don’t have something of value to offer your readers they won’t come back.

Final Tips on How to Blog for Success

1 )   It goes without saying – check your spelling and grammar. Google actually frowns upon poorly written content. Also, there is no excuse for spelling mistakes. Use your Spell Check!

2 )   Read your post out loud. Does it flow naturally? You want your blog to be easy to read. If it’s grueling to get through, re-write it. Don’t try and be fancy. Just get your information out there in an easy to read, entertaining fashion.

3 )   Make sure you’ve got a Killer Headline. If you want ideas on how to do this “7 Ways to Create Killer Headlines" will get your creative juices flowing.

4 )   Try to keep within 500-1200 words. The only time you should go over 1200 words is if you are creating “How To” Manuals.

Don't choose the wrong MLM business opportunity.

Every day I am bombarded with the next ground-floor, earth shattering, "you'll be so rich!" MLM business opportunity.

And if there's one thing I've learned from Mark Yarnell, that's to stick with what you're doing and stay focussed.

I wrote about him and how to earn $100k per month and it wasn't by jumping from business opportunity to business opportunity at the drop of a hat. There are tried and true philosophies that go into building a 7 figure income and one of them is to stay focussed and the other one is to commit to something that is 100% aligned with your core value.

What this comes down to is this. Choose an MLM business opportunity that you can commit to seriously for the next 3-5 years and make sure it's something that you love.

So let's get into a few things you need to consider before you jump into an MLM business opportunity.

1) How old is the company?

Now, I don't totally agree with the general consensus on this. If you look around you'll find a lot of people recommend joining an MLM business opportunity that's at least 5 years old.

For me, I'm going to go against the grain and tell you to check your gut instinct on this one. Instincts are sometimes the best indicator of what is going to be a good fit for you or not.

Taking it outside of the MLM industry for just a minute, when do you think it would have been a good time to invest in Apple? They started trading in 1984 at around $26. They stumbled for a few years and by 1987 they were up to $65. Today they're trading at $426!

Now that's an IPO I would have liked to have been involved in.

So when it comes to evaluating a potential MLM business opportunity I think there are some more important things to consider than the age of the company. Like ...

2) What is the USP (Unique Selling Proposition) of the company's product or service?

In other words, what's unique about the product or service of the MLM business opportunity you're evaluating?

Consider these points:

• Does the product or service stand out from the competition or is it more of the same?
• Is there a genuine NEED for the product or service?
• Can the product or service be used for a long time ie. Is it a fad product - here today, gone tomorrow?

You must find a product or service that fills a REAL NEED at a FAIR PRICE and must provide incredible VALUE. You need to be thinking long term here. You are wanting to build a long term residual income.

3) Can you build your MLM business opportunity with only a few hours a week?

This is crucial. You no doubt have a steady income. You can't give that up and just 'hope' that your MLM business opportunity is going to reap financial rewards immediately. That's naive and dangerous. Go in with your eyes wide open. The reason 97% of people fail in network marketing is because they have unrealistic expectations.

Make sure this is something you can build part time. Naturally the long term goal is to ditch your day job and work from home doing something you love. But you've got to start somewhere.

4) How soon can you get into profit mode?

And this is the $6 million question. How soon can you get paid?

You need to find an MLM business opportunity that's easily duplicable. If it's too hard to duplicate it will be too hard to recruit team members. It needs to be simple.

So you need to find out how successful your potential sponsor has been or more importantly how successful THEIR upline sponsor has been. Which leads me to one of the most important points of all to consider ...

5) Does your sponsor have the skills necessary to help you succeed?

There are two ways to build an MLM business opportunity. Online and offline. Online meaning you plug in to an internet marketing strategy and offline means you build relationships within your community at home.

I can't count how many people I know who have built an extraordinarily successful MLM business offline and have never touched the internet. I also know of many incredibly successful people who only build their MLM business online. Some even use a combination of the two.

But at the end of the day, you need to feel confident that your sponsor, or your sponsor's sponsor has your best interests at heart and will go to the wall with you to help you build your MLM business opportunity. If you feel they won't, run a mile in the opposite direction and find someone who will.

6) Can you LOVE what you do?

For me this is the most important facet of any due diligence. It really is.

I've had jobs I've hated that would literally make me sick to my stomach to go to.

And I've had jobs that had me bounding out of bed at 5:00am totally excited out of my skin.

Which ones do you think I did better at? Naturally the ones that had me brimming with enthusiasm and passion.

And that's what YOU need to find. An MLM business opportunity that gets you so excited you can't wait to share it with the world.

And when you find that MLM business opportunity, run with it, stick with it and it will pay you royally.

How To Win With Your MLM Business Opportunity

Without realizing it, I understood the secrets to winning with an MLM business opportunity at the age of 5.

I’ve been an entrepreneur my entire life.

I’ve wanted to be rich ever since I can remember and I started my first business at the age of 5.

When I was a child we lived in a small country town. I would bake scones and take them down to the end of our driveway and try to sell them. Our road had ten cars a day on it – on a busy day. I was learning about traffic at a very young age.

I figured those tired travellers would be hungry by the time they got to my bend in the road and I figured I could get half of them to stop.

As far as the law of averages went I did OK. Two cars a day would stop, that’s a 20% success rate.

By the time I was 12 I had $5,000 saved.

Of course that wasn’t just from selling scones.

I banked ALL my pocket money, which back then started out at 20c/week and then went up to 50c/week. I mowed lawns for $1, collected pine cones for 50c/bag, did chores and my Granny would give me a shiny 50c piece every time I saw her.

Today as I look back on my younger self I realize that at the age of 5 I understood one of the secrets to winning with an MLM business opportunity.

SECRET #1  - VISION

I had an overpowering vision that I wanted to be rich.

Not so I could have toys or the latest fashion. I wanted to be rich so I could take care of my family one day. I figured if I had a lot of money we’d always be fine.

I’ve been an entrepreneur in many fields since then, and always riding in the back of my mind is my VISION of wanting to be able to provide for those I love.

And to be extraordinarily successful with your MLM business opportunity you must have a vision.

And it can’t just be something vague – it has to be COMPELLING. It must DRIVE you to push yourself harder than you’ve ever pushed yourself before.

Because there will be setbacks. That’s inevitable for any entrepreneur in any business venture whether it be an MLM business opportunity or something else.

When the setbacks hit you, it will only be your compelling vision that propels you onwards and upwards.

SECRET #2 – PASSION

You have to LOVE what you do, with a PASSION!

How the heck are you ever going to get yourself out of bed in the morning if you don’t love what you do? Whether it's your MLM business opportunity or your J-O-B, you've got to love what you do! Otherwise, what's the point???

I remember when I was doing something that in the end I detested; I would wake up in the morning full of dread, pull the covers over my head and just wish that the day was over.

And yet on the weekends I would wake up and bound out of bed with unbridled joy. I hated what I was doing. With a passion.

How incredibly soul destroying is it to see so many of us doing jobs that we absolutely detest, just so we can put food on the table? It’s just tragic.

If you don’t love your MLM business opportunity, you WILL fail. No doubt about it. You won’t stick to it. When it all gets too much it will be so easy to quit.

Winners NEVER quit – and quitters NEVER win.

SECRET #3 – INTEGRITY

Insincerity reeks like boiling manure.

People follow leaders who have integrity. Those who are honest, sincere, ethical and decent are the only ones who are extraordinarily successful with their MLM business opportunity.

The vulnerable masses are drawn to this industry daily on the promises of wealth beyond their wildest dreams. How easy it is to deceive and manipulate those desperately wanting to be rich.

An entrepreneur who shows integrity and paves the way for others to follow in their footsteps will reach the heralded heights of this industry.

And funnily enough, that’s how it is in the MLM industry.

97% who get started with an MLM business opportunity quit. And many quit three feet from gold.

You can’t succeed in ANYTHING if you QUIT!

According to analysis by Mark and Rene Reid Yarnell, authors of Your First Year In Network Marketing, “95% of those who survive ten years in network marketing become wealthy beyond their wildest expectations.”

1)   You HAVE to have a compelling VISION that drives you through the hard times

2)   You HAVE to be PASSIONATE about what you’re doing otherwise the hard work you need to put in to be successful will just be a grind and you may as well go back to your J-O-B.

3)   You HAVE to have unwavering INTEGRITY. People are counting on YOU.

4)   You HAVE to have PERSERVERANCE. Anything worth having is worth working for. Never, ever, EVER quit. If you do, you'll never know how close you came to winning.
