How many hours have you spent on the internet looking for the "secret" to making money in network marketing?
How much money have you invested trying to buy the secrets from those who claim to have all the secrets? Are you fed up and just plain angry that after all your efforts, you still haven't found the secret?
The secret to making money in network marketing is as old as time. In fact, the secret has been around since the dawn of time. It's been recorded in religion, literature, music, philosophy and has been learned by some of the greatest men and women throughout history.
Shakespeare, Beethoven, Leonardo da Vinci, Plato & Socrates, Sir Isaac Newton all knew the secret.
But sadly it was never shared with the masses. If it had been, over 90% of all the world's wealth would not be possessed by less than 10% of the world's population.
And what's so extraordinary is that the secret has been within the reach of all of us, all this time!
If I were to tell you that you could be rich beyond your wildest dreams by doing one simple thing every day would you believe me? Or more importantly would you actually give it a go? Especially considering it won't cost you anything. That's right - I have nothing to sell you but everything to offer you.
Let me explain.
You're an extremely powerful person. No doubt you know that you use less than 10% of your brain. Imagine what would happen if you knew how to use 50% of your brain - or more!
The 20th Century was obsessed with the exploration of space. What's fascinating about the 21st Century is that we are now really starting to focus on the exploration of the human brain. Exactly what are we capable of? Maybe they learned something when they were in outer space. Who knows?
But what I do know, is that the final unexplored frontier is the mind.
And this brings us to the 'secret'.
The real secret to making money in network marketing is not how good your comp plan is, or how your juice is the fountain of youth - the REAL SECRET to making money in network marketing comes down to one simple principle:
"THE LAW OF ATTRACTION".
No, Mike Dillard didn't invent this. But he's one of the clever ones who uncovered it and spread the word as far and wide as he could. But some of us still didn't get the basic concept of "The Law Of Attraction".
"The Law Of Attraction" was summed up most perfectly by Napoleon Hill when he made his famous statement, "What the mind can conceive, and believe, the mind can achieve".
So how does this all relate to Network Marketing?
If you're struggling in network marketing, what do you tell yourself each day? Do you say, "This is too hard!", "This will never work!", "I'm never going to be successful at this!", "I'm never going to make any money!" ... And you're right. This will be true for you because this is what you're putting out to the universe therefore this is what you're attracting back to you.
Oh phooey you might be saying.
Let me explain how this works.
You're a living, breathing entity, consisting of energy. When you think something, you are actually creating energy and sending this thought out into your environment (or universe).
I'll give you an example. When you want someone to like you and you're making your approach, do you put all your energy into a frown or a smile? If you're frowning, what response do you think you'll get? But if you put all your energy into really focussing on getting this person to like you, there's a good chance you're going to be smiling and putting out all the good energy you can. This is a very simple analogy, but "The Law of Attraction" is that simple.
So if you want your network marketing business to be successful, you have to have a strong belief and conviction that it is already successful (even if it's not!). You have to be able to visualize what your successful network marketing business looks like and you have to FEEL it with every fibre of your being.
If you had a successful network marketing business, what would it look like?
How many people would you have in your downline?
What would your commission cheques look like?
How would you FEEL when you open your commission statements in the morning and you see that you just made another $3,000 whilst you were sleeping?
How would you FEEL when you're invited to speak at major network marketing events?
How would you FEEL knowing that all the bills are paid and you never have to worry about money again?
What would you look like? How would you dress? How would you walk?
This is what I'm talking about when I'm talking about visualizing.
When you visualize with every fibre of your being, you send energy out into the universe and the universe has to rearrange itself in accordance with your visualization.
I'll give you an example of my wife's visualization.
She's always had a secret desire to be a writer. She showed great talent in school, but never took it further than that. Then a few years back she saw "Something's Gotta Give" with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. She fell in love with the image of Diane Keaton, as a writer, in a beautiful house on the beach. She visualized that if she could do anything in life and believed she could not fail, she would want to be Diane Keaton in that movie, writing in a beautiful home, that sits on the beach.
Five years later, my wife sits at a table, fifty meters from the Pacific Ocean, with the sound of waves crashing in the distance, writing!
Visualize what it is that you want, with all your heart and soul. Focus on it daily as if it were real. State it in the present tense and BELIEVE. Your belief in this process is the difference between you making it in network marketing and not making it in network marketing.
